The Ministry of Environmental Protection has informed the public of the decision that an environmental impact assessment is required for the project of constructing the BIO4 Scientific Research Campus in the Belgrade settlement of Kumodraž.

The same decision also determined the scope and content of the documentation for this project on construction plot J1.1 at the corner of Vojvode Stepe Street and Peke Dapčevića Boulevard. The request for a decision on the need for an environmental impact assessment for the BIO4 Campus project was submitted by the Ministry of Public Investments at the end of February.

The BIO4 Campus complex will span 26 hectares and will comprise four spatial-functional units with content in the fields of biomedicine, biotechnology, bioinformatics, and biodiversity. The campus will house faculties, institutes, research centers, science and technology parks, innovation centers, as well as accommodation capacities for visiting scientists and students.
