The Biotech Future Forum 2025, held in Belgrade from October 27 to 29, gathered over 1,000 global and domestic experts in biotechnology and artificial intelligence to explore how these fields can advance health, innovation, and quality of life. The forum was opened by Serbia's Prime Minister Đuro Macut, who highlighted Serbia's emergence as a regional hub for biotech and digital innovation, supported by major national projects like the BIO4 Campus—a center uniting biomedicine, biotechnology, and biodiversity. Nobel laureate Robert Huber and genetic pioneer Craig Venter were among the keynote speakers, representing the high caliber of thought leadership at the event. Discussions spanned cutting-edge topics such as personalized medicine, drug discovery, longevity, AI in medical devices, and sustainable bioeconomy development.

The forum emphasized Serbia's commitment to integrating biotechnology and AI with public health and industry, showcased by initiatives like the new law on electronic health records and the establishment of the BIO4 Campus, which aims to educate future experts and foster global partnerships. The event also featured panels, interactive sessions, and the launch of related high-level conferences in partnership with Nature Portfolio. With more than 30 countries represented, the Biotech Future Forum 2025 reinforced Serbia's emerging role in biotech innovation and digital transformation, paving the way for a knowledge-driven, innovation-friendly society focused on life sciences and sustainability.
