BIO KOREA 2025, held from May 7 to 9 at COEX in Seoul, brought together global leaders from biotechnology, healthcare, and policy to explore how cutting-edge technologies are reshaping the bio-health sector. Recognized as one of Asia’s most influential events in this field, the conference provided a platform for high-level dialogue on innovation, collaboration, and the future of healthcare worldwide.

The program covered 11 key thematic areas, highlighting both technological breakthroughs and regulatory shifts shaping today’s bio-health landscape. Special emphasis was placed on the role of generative artificial intelligence, robotics, digital transformation, and the transition of emerging technologies from research to real-world application.

One of the central themes was the growing collaboration between pharmaceutical companies and global tech giants such as Google, Amazon, and Nvidia – particularly in the development of AI platforms for drug discovery and the expansion of the brain–computer interface (BCI) market. Open innovation was identified as a critical strategy for accelerating drug development, optimizing resources, and boosting long-term competitiveness.

In parallel, compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards is gaining importance as part of broader ESG strategies, integrating quality control with environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and transparent corporate governance.

The field of aging research is also undergoing a shift - from extending lifespan to promoting healthy and active longevity. Breakthrough technologies in age-reversal and even cancer-reversal are rapidly emerging as frontiers in bio-health innovation.

Speakers throughout the conference emphasized that all countries are facing similar challenges driven by rapidly evolving technologies in the bio-health sector — and that the speed and quality of national adaptation will directly influence future health system resilience and security.
