BIO4 Campus at the 67th International Exhibition of Technics and Technical Achievements

As part of the 67th International Exhibition of Technics and Technical Achievements at the Belgrade Fair, the exhibition organized by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, titled “Play for Humanity! Science for All!” and held under the slogan “Innovations Change the World”, was presented.

The fair showcased over 60 innovative solutions and inventions. Startup teams supported by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation were among the exhibitors, as well as startups from Hungary – this year’s partner country.

BIO4 Campus took part in the fair with a dedicated exhibition space, providing visitors with insights into its key accomplishments to date, as well as its strategic objectives and long-term vision.

On the fourth day of the exhibition,  May 23, 2025, BIO4 Campus welcomed representatives from its partner institutes, who presented their latest scientific and technological innovations.

The Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković” (IBISS) drew attention with AerPotato  project is developing an advanced aeroponic cultivation system for potatoes, designed to produce top-quality, virus-free seed material (minitubers) in a soil-free environment.

The Institute for Medical Research (IMR) showcased its Nutrigenetic Analysis project—a personalized nutrition initiative that uses genetic data to tailor dietary recommendations based on how individuals respond to specific nutrients.

The Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy (TMF) presented KoFreeVital, a natural nutritional supplement for animals developed through an innovative fermentation process using coffee waste. The supplement is designed to improve digestion and stimulate lactation in dairy cows, contributing to more sustainable livestock production.

Finally, the Institute of Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy (ICTM) introduced SelfieBreath, an advanced respiratory monitoring device equipped with a self-powered humidity sensor and Bluetooth connectivity. The device pairs with a smartphone app to provide real-time data analysis, offering a user-friendly and portable solution for tracking breathing patterns.

The partner presentations highlighted the scientific and technological strength of BIO4 Campus, reinforcing its role as a dynamic platform for developing practical solutions in the service of human and animal health, as well as environmental sustainability.
