BIO4 Campus at the Serbia Investment Conference in Osaka

As part of EXPO 2025 Osaka, a dedicated Serbia Investment Conference was held to deepen economic cooperation between Serbia and Japan. Organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, JETRO, the Development Agency of Serbia, the Embassy of Serbia in Japan, and JBAS, the event brought together over 100 representatives from Japanese companies, institutions, and Serbian stakeholders.
The conference focused on Serbia’s investment potential in strategic sectors such as artificial intelligence, bioeconomy, and pharmaceuticals, while showcasing success stories of Japanese companies already operating in Serbia. Participants explored new opportunities in digital transformation, green energy, smart cities, and startup ecosystem development.

BIO4 Campus was presented as a strategic national initiative supporting Serbia’s knowledge-based growth and biotech advancement. Nenad Paunovic, Advisor to the Speaker of the National Assembly, highlighted the role of BIO4 Campus in fostering innovation, international collaboration, and long-term scientific and economic partnerships. Among others, BIO4 Campus MoU partner Takeda was showcased as a good practice of collaboration between Serbian institutions and Japanese industry.
The conference marked another important step in strengthening Serbia–Japan ties, reinforcing a shared commitment to science, technology, and future-oriented cooperation.
