The Minister of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation, Dr. Jelena Begović, attended the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between BIO4 Campus and the Italian organizations Arexpo and the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer at the Italian Embassy in Belgrade. 

The signing ceremony was also attended by the Italian Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Luca Gori.

“The signing of the Memorandum between BIO4 Campus and our new Italian partners represents a strategic milestone in the growth of Serbia's innovation ecosystem. This collaboration lays the foundation for the exchange of knowledge and technologies and fosters the development of joint projects that will connect our scientific communities, institutions, researchers, entrepreneurs, the startup ecosystem, and industries,” said Minister Begović on this occasion.

She emphasized that the BIO4 Campus is designed to bring together the brightest minds in biomedicine, biotechnology, biodiversity, artificial intelligence, and information technologies such as bioinformatics. “This way, the academic community, science, government, the private sector, and the startup ecosystem can achieve outstanding results," she stated.

H.E. Ambassador Gori remarked that this Memorandum is highly significant as it represents a practical step toward solving some of the complex technological challenges we face in healthcare, biotechnology, and sustainable development. It strengthens cross-border cooperation and highlights the potential of such partnerships to drive real progress, while also underscoring the role of innovation districts in fostering collaboration and technology transfer.
