BIO4 Campus welcomed H.E. Edward Ferguson, UK Ambassador to Serbia, for a discussion on the development of the BIO4 ecosystem and opportunities for deeper cooperation between Serbia and the United Kingdom.

The conversation brought together two complementary strengths. The UK offers world-leading universities, research institutions, and a highly developed life sciences and innovation ecosystem. Serbia brings strong scientific and ICT talent, growing research infrastructure, and an active academic and industry community. BIO4 Campus sits at the intersection of these strengths — building a bioeconomy hub where biotechnology, biomedicine, bioinformatics, and AI converge.

The discussion explored how these complementary strengths can translate into practical cooperation: research and innovation partnerships, talent mobility, and the growing convergence of life sciences and artificial intelligence.
