26/10/2025

Oxford, United Kingdom – October 2025

A special academic gathering took place at Abbot’s Kitchen, Reuben College, Oxford, bringing together more than 40 professors and students from the Balkans to explore career opportunities in Serbia and the growing scientific landscape shaped by the BIO4 Ecosystem.

The event served as a platform for exchange between academic communities in the UK and Serbia, highlighting the country’s expanding potential in biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and deep-tech innovation. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about the BIO4 Campus project and the work of the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering (IMGGE), one of Serbia’s leading research institutions.

The evening also featured an inspiring speech by Professor Ramesh Ramasamy from Imperial College London, who shared valuable perspectives on research collaboration and innovation pathways between the UK and the Western Balkans.

Organized in collaboration with Serbian students and researchers from the Oxford academic community, the event reflected a shared vision of connecting talented scientists abroad with Serbia’s rapidly evolving science and innovation ecosystem.

By strengthening dialogue between Oxford and Belgrade, BIO4 Campus continues to build bridges that bring together knowledge, opportunity, and collaboration across borders.
