Info Session on Merck Innovation Cup 2026 Held at BIO4 Offices
16/01/2026

BIO4 Campus hosted an Info Session on Merck Innovation Cup 2026 at its offices in Belgrade, bringing together young researchers interested in learning more about the programme and the application process.
The session was organised in collaboration with Merck Serbia, within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between Merck Serbia and BIO4 Campus. It builds on the partners’ ongoing work to connect young researchers with international industry programmes and practical application guidance, making this global opportunity more tangible and accessible to the local research community.

The event opened with a presentation by Isidora Vasiljević, Medical Director at Merck Serbia, who introduced the programme format, key dates, and the selection timeline, and walked participants through what the initial application requires.

The second part of the session featured alumni perspectives, offering a realistic view of the programme experience and practical guidance for applicants. The alumni speakers were Marija Stefanović from the Institute of Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, whose team placed second at the 2024 Innovation Cup, Dušan Ružić from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, whose team placed second at the 2023 Innovation Cup and Branka Divović Matović from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade.

The alumni segment addressed the decision to apply, what to focus on when preparing a CV and motivation letter, what to expect during the camp and team work, and what participants often wish they had known before applying. The session concluded with an active Q&A and networking.
Applications are open until 31 January 2026, and the initial submission requires only a CV and a motivational letter.
