On September 18, 2025, at the Science and Technology Park in Novi Sad, researchers had the opportunity to take part in the Nature Masterclass in Effective Collaboration, led by Jeffrey Robens, a world-renowned trainer from the Nature Masterclasses team. The program has already proved its value in Serbia, as last year Robens delivered the highly regarded “Communicating Your Science to Non-Specialists” masterclass. Bringing such expertise is of special importance since Nature is one of the world’s most prestigious scientific publishers, setting global standards in research and scientific communication.

The full-day program gathered participants for hands-on training in skills essential for successful scientific collaboration. Participants explored how to build trust and set clear expectations within teams, manage conflicts and overcome challenges in joint projects, and communicate effectively across disciplines and sectors. The workshop combined lectures, discussions, and interactive exercises, creating an engaging environment for both learning and networking.

A special focus of the training was on practical strategies and real-life case studies, equipping participants with tools they can apply directly in their research collaborations. At the end of the program, a networking cocktail provided an additional opportunity for participants to exchange experiences and strengthen professional ties.

This masterclass is part of a broader initiative aimed at strengthening the research and innovation ecosystem in Serbia through collaboration with Nature, one of the world’s most prestigious scientific publishers. By bringing internationally recognized expertise closer to Serbian researchers, BIO4 Campus continues to support the growth of skills, connections, and opportunities within the scientific community. The initiative will continue this October with the Nature Conference in Belgrade (October 27–29, 2025), organized in collaboration with BIO4 Campus, further solidifying this valuable partnership.
