He is also a recipient of the Chevening Scholarship, the United Kingdom Government’s international awards program aimed at developing global leaders. During his time at the University of Cambridge, Stefan was awarded a Distinction for his research in the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Advanced Computer Science, where he developed scMultiGraph - an advanced machine learning framework for single-cell multiomic analysis.

Building on these achievements, Stefan will be a featured speaker at this year's DSC Europe’s DigiHealth Conference, one of the largest data science and AI events in the region (read more here), where he will present on how artificial intelligence and high-performance computing can strengthen BIO4 Campus Belgrade’s translational research ecosystem. Following Stefan’s research in precision oncology, attendees at the DSC Europe DigitHealth Conference will also gain insight into how these innovations are set to transform both the science of cancer and the future of patient care.
He has already showcased his research on translational oncology at leading forums, including the HPC Serbia EuroCC4SEE workshop (Stefan's interview), where he demonstrated how AI can accelerate the journey from biomedical data to clinical applications. Stefan’s internationally recognized research and leadership are now being integrated into BIO4 Campus Belgrade’s mission - combining advanced computing and life sciences to build a stronger translational ecosystem for Serbia and beyond.
